Overview

Honda 37250PNEG01 VTEC oil pressure switch measures hydraulic oil pressure inside the VTEC spool valve assembly and transmits switching signals to the engine control unit. Constructed with a brass threaded body, heat-resistant polymer connector housing, and internal pressure diaphragm. Technical specifications include an R1/8 (1/8-28 BSPT) external thread, 2-pin rectangular terminal connector, and 24 mm hex drive size. Operating pressure response ranges between 0.2 bar and 0.5 bar for accurate VTEC engagement timing. OEM part reference 37250PNEG01, with cross-references 37250-PNE-G01, 37250PNE003, 37250-PNE-003, 37250PRBA01, and FAE 12885.

Replace the Honda 37250PNEG01 switch when diagnostic fault codes P1009, P2646, or P2647 are stored in the ECU, or when oil leaks occur through the sensor body seam.
