JS Asakashi JT494K — Automatic Transmission Filter

Overview

Automatic transmission filter JS Asakashi JT494K traps metallic wear debris, clutch friction particles and sludge suspended within transmission fluid. The assembly includes a direct-fit pan gasket made from synthetic rubber cork compound. Constructed with a 0.8 mm pressed steel housing, the internal filtration medium uses heat-resistant synthetic felt layer. This kit replaces OEM references Toyota 35330-06010, 35330-28010 and 35330-32050. Unit dimensions measure 210 mm length, 160 mm width and 45 mm height, featuring a 32 mm intake port diameter. The filter unit maintains specified flow capacity under operating fluid pressures up to 12 bar and oil temperatures reaching +150 °C.

Fitment covers Toyota Camry XV30 2.0/2.4 (2001–2006), RAV4 XA20 2.0 (2000–2005), Avensis T250 2.0/2.4 (2003–2008) and Lexus RX300 XU10 3.0 (2000–2003) equipped with U140E, U140F, U240E and U241E automatic gearboxes. Renewal of the transmission filter is required during routine fluid service intervals every 40,000–60,000 km, or during hydraulic valve body overhauls. Immediate replacement becomes necessary when experiencing delayed gear engagement, harsh shifting between speed ratios, hydraulic line pressure drops, burnt ATF fluid discolouration, or mechanical cavitation noise originating from the oil pump assembly.
