Overview

Electric water pump Pierburg 702881660 circulates coolant through the engine block, cylinder head, and heater matrix independently of engine speed. Operating on 12 V power supply with a maximum current draw of 15 A, this unit adjusts flow rate via ECU signals. Features a composite housing with aluminium base plate and twin 32 mm connection ports. Delivers a maximum flow rate of 7000 L/h to cool the cylinder head after engine shutdown. Direct replacement matching OEM reference numbers BMW 11517586925, 11517563183, 11517546994, 11517520492, and 11517586924. Integrated 4-pin electrical connector plugs directly into the vehicle wiring loom.

Fits BMW 1 Series E81, E87 (2006–2011), 3 Series E90, E91, E92, E93 (2004–2013), 5 Series E60, E61 (2004–2010), 6 Series E63, E64 (2004–2010), X3 E83 (2006–2010), and X5 E70 (2006–2010) fitted with 2.5 L and 3.0 L N52B25 and N52B30 straight-six petrol engines. Replace when DME diagnostic trouble codes 2E81 or 2E82 appear, coolant leaks from the housing seams, or the internal rotor seizes. Fault symptoms include cold cabin heating at idle, radiator fan running at full speed continuously, and amber or red engine temperature warning lights on the instrument cluster.
