Overview

Crankshaft oil seal Renault 122797403R seals the rear main journal of the engine crankshaft, preventing engine oil leaks from the crankcase into the flywheel housing. Manufactured with a heat-resistant PTFE sealing lip mounted inside an integrated metal flange housing. Specifications include an inner diameter of 85 mm, outer diameter of 105 mm, and a width of 8 mm. OEM cross-reference number: 122797403R. The material tolerates operating temperatures from -40 °C to +180 °C and withstands modern synthetic engine oils as well as crankcase pressure. This rear main seal preserves correct oil pressure and prevents fluid migration along the rotating shaft assembly.

Fits Renault Duster 1.5 dCi, Logan 1.6, Sandero 1.6, Megane Mk3 1.5 dCi / 1.6, Fluence, Scenic Mk3, Clio Mk4, and Kaptur 1.6 models. Also compatible with Nissan Qashqai J10 and J11 1.5 dCi models produced between 2008 and 2022 equipped with K9K, K4M, and H5Ft engine codes. Replacement is required when oil staining appears at the engine-to-transmission bellhousing joint, when oil consumption increases, or when clutch slipping occurs due to oil contamination on the friction plate. The seal should also be renewed during flywheel removal, clutch kit replacement, or major engine overhauls. Installing this component stops fluid loss and protects clutch components from oil ingress.
