Subaru 20254FG020 — Lateral Arm Bushing

Overview

Transverse link bushing Subaru 20254FG020 connects the rear transverse control arm to the subframe, isolating the chassis from road vibrations and lateral forces. Manufactured to original equipment specifications, this metal-rubber mounting features an outer steel sleeve, a vulcanised elastomer core, and an inner steel tube engineered to withstand oil, road debris, and mechanical stresses. Key dimensions include an inner bolt bore for M12 fasteners, an outer shell diameter of 40 mm, and an overall length of 55 mm. Part number 20254FG020 directly replaces previous OEM references 20254FG000 and 20254FG010. The internal rubber compound maintains precise rear suspension geometry under cornering loads, preventing uncontrolled wheel alignment shifts during vehicle operation.

Replacement is required when experiencing visual cracking, rubber tearing, bonding separation between metal and elastomer, knocking noises from the rear axle area, or uneven tyre tread wear. Fitting a genuine Subaru 20254FG020 rear transverse link bush restores original suspension damping characteristics and tightens rear chassis response. Vehicle fitment includes Subaru Impreza GE, GH, GR, GV, GP, and GJ models (2007–2016), Subaru Forester SH and SJ series (2007–2018), Subaru XV G41 (2011–2017), alongside Subaru Legacy and Outback BM and BR models (2009–2014). The unit presses directly into the standard factory rear lower arm housing without structural alteration.
