Taiho M461HSTD — Main Bearing Set
Overview
Main crankshaft bearing set Taiho M461HSTD supports and locates the main journals of the crankshaft inside the engine cylinder block crankcase, reducing rotational friction under heavy load. Manufactured in standard size STD for unground factory crankshaft journal specifications. Construction features a rigid steel backing strip lined with a multi-layer aluminium-tin alloy offering resistance against mechanical fatigue, surface galling, chemical corrosion and temporary oil starvation. Design includes precise locating lugs, oil supply feed holes and continuous lubrication grooves with 2.0 mm width to maintain correct oil pressure distribution through the main engine gallery. Direct cross-reference equivalent for OEM part numbers Toyota 11701-22020-01, 11701-0D010-01, 11701-22010-01 and 11701-22021-01.
Fits Toyota 1.4 4ZZ-FE, 1.6 3ZZ-FE and 1.8 1ZZ-FE four-cylinder 16v petrol engines. Replacement is required during complete internal engine overhaul, when metallic knocking sounds originate from the lower block, upon detection of low oil pressure on warm engine idling, or when engine teardown reveals severe scoring, peeling, metal transfer or exposed copper backing on worn main journal bearing shells.
