Overview

Alternator brush holder Toyota 2737031220 transfers electrical current to the alternator rotor via spring-loaded carbon brushes. The assembly comprises a heat-resistant PBT plastic housing, dual steel coil springs, copper busbars, and synthetic carbon contacts. The holder maintains brush contact against the rotor slip rings at a set angle to eliminate electrical arcing and prevent uneven commutator wear. OEM part reference is Toyota 27370-31220, with Denso cross-reference 021620-3000. Physical dimensions are 45 mm in length, 38 mm in width, and 26 mm in height, featuring a 32 mm mounting hole center distance and 14.0 mm fresh brush protruding length.
