Overview

Engine oil pressure switch Toyota 8353060020 monitors lubricating system pressure and completes the warning lamp circuit when pressure drops below 0.3 bar. Constructed with a brass body and high-temperature polymer housing, this unit tolerates thermal loads up to 150 °C. The unit features a tapered 1/8 BSPT thread and a single flat blade terminal for standard wiring harness connections. The hex section measures 24 mm. Sealing is achieved via the tapered thread profile. OEM reference number 83530-60020 supersedes part numbers 83530-28020, 83530-30090, 83530-60010 and 83530-14030. The internal spring-loaded diaphragm mechanism provides immediate response to oil pressure fluctuations within the main oil gallery.

Replace this switch when observing fluid leaks through the insulator, an illuminated dash warning light at normal operating pressure, erratic gauge readings, or internal clogging from engine sludge. Fitment includes Toyota Land Cruiser 80, Land Cruiser 100, Land Cruiser Prado 90, Prado 120, Hilux, Hiace, and 4Runner, alongside Lexus LX470 and GX470 models manufactured between 1990 and 2009. Compatible with 2.5, 3.0, 4.2, and 4.7 litre petrol and diesel engine codes 1HZ, 1HD-FTE, 1KD-FTV, 1KZ-TE, 2KD-FTV, 1FZ-FE, and 2UZ-FE. Correct switch function prevents undetected oil starvation and crank bearing damage.
